all work and no stamp

not much went on in the creative department this week. and i fear that will be the case for a while. but wanted to share an image of what did happen at my house this weekend. our old, old barn came down. we think the barn was built about the same time as the house…1880. the nails were hand-cut (header image is of some of those nails in a board) and the joints were peg and tenon. much of the timber was oak and that is why we took it down piece by piece. so that those huge oak beams and the tongue and groove flooring can be reused.
